From Almería to Rotterdam
Alejandro began his musical education at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Almería, studying with José Luis Arias, Jesús Jaren and Manolo Hoces. He continued at the Conservatorio Superior de Málaga with Jesús Lloret and Dominique Rombaut.
In the Netherlands, he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in alto and tenor trombone at Codarts Rotterdam, studying with Alexander Verbeek and Brandt Attema. He spent two seasons at the Rotterdam Philharmonic Academy and, during his final year of study, worked as an assistant trombone teacher at Codarts.
On the orchestral stage
Alejandro has performed with Sinfonia Rotterdam since 2016 and has collaborated with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and Philharmonie Zuidnederland since 2015. His work also includes the Residentie Orkest, Noord Nederlands Orkest, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Pynarello, Ludwig, Nationaal Symfonisch Kamerorkest, Het Promenade Orkest and the Marinierskapel der Koninklijke Marine.
Alongside the concert stage, he has played in Stage Entertainment musical theatre productions in the Netherlands since 2018.
The conversation of chamber music
A co-founder of the Málaga Brass Quintet, Alejandro continued his chamber music journey with Pelgrim Brass, recording Organic Brass and Merry Christbrass. He is also the founder of Iberoamerican Ensemble, whose debut album is Tocando Raíces.
His concert and recording collaborations include Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and New European Ensemble.
